2nd Training Workshops to Standardize Quality Control Methods for MMF (Bangalore)
IMMA organized the second in a series of training workshops to standardize quality control methods in the micronutrient industry on 22nd December, 2021 at GPS Institute of Agricultural Management, Bangalore. The first such workshop was organized in Mumbai on 20th September, 2019.
To cover the entire membership area of IMMA, this time around the second training workshop to standardize quality control methods in the micronutrient industry was held at one of the founder members of IMMA – Karnataka Agrochemicals (Multilpex Group) at their GPS Institute of Agricultural Management, Bangalore.
Multiplex Group hosted 11 chemists and quality control in-charges from 8 micronutrient manufacturing companies at its R&D and QC laboratory at the GPS Institute. in Bangalore.
The focus of the workshop was to provide an overview of testing methods as per the fertilizer control order and best practices in analytical testing, beyond the legislated minima, using best-in-class analytical equipment. The participants were provided with day long access to analyze their own samples jointly with the GPS Institute quality control team.
Seeing the chemists from across different companies collaborate and support each other in the process of learning during the packed day of learning was a pleasure to see. It truly showed the potential of the micronutrient industry coming together for a common purpose.
There was excellent participation and interaction amongst all the participants and they all felt that similar workshops will benefit other companies in the industry, if replicated across all the regions.
